This week, it’s on! On this episode of NO B.S. LIVE TV, I talk to you all about copywriting and getting directly into the heads of your customers using well-written, targeted, researched copy. And, I’m sure you’ll find the perfect attention-grabbing partner to go along with that well-researched direct mail you’ll now be working on in this week’s S&D presentation. And, as always, my favorite part of the show, an answer to a marketing question from one of our Gold members.

  • Great direct mail advice & just a few of the amazing mail envelopes available out there today to put your mail pieces in.

Some clients aren’t as comfortable being overly outrageous, but the ones you showed are certainly tame enough tht most folks would use them without much trouble at all.

As always, clients are having great results with Direct Mail – even those folks who have traditionally been online only.

    Great stuff – thanks Bill!

Great show Bill! Why do you think people have such a hard time following through with ideas in business? There’s so much infomation out there. I feel 95% of everyone is lost, and they don’t know where to start. There’s so many GURU’S out there. Where does someone start? How much study does it really take a day. I’m guilty of this stuff myself, but I”m aware at least.

Bill–I have enjoyed your videos to date. However today your theme and t-shirt is offensive with the $hit lettering.I know you’re trying to tie in with the No Bull theme, but it still bothers me.

I liked the envelopes and will use a variation here.

One aspect of your methodology is using the business owner’s own personality a lot in the marketing recommendations.

But I do now want to “put myself out there in front of my customers.”

I’m simply am looking for a marketing methodology where I do not have to be a “guru” or “the face of the company.” Any suggestions?

This is another TV episode I’m glad I watched. You have reminded me of what I need to do more of in my direct mail. I’ve been doing so much with online “stuff” that I tried to keep costs down by only using postcards (supplementing my email marketing)that were starting to lose their effectiveness. I’m going back to the envelope strategy again.

Sometimes that is all it takes, a reminder and a kick in the pants.

    Thanks Bill…

P.S. I like the shirt. Got ‘em in XL?

Loved the envelope ideas, good stuff. You guys are amazing, how did I ever get along w/o you!

Now for my QUESTION. It has to do with envelopes. You always send your GKIC newsletter in an envelope. You could probably save postage if you just changed the outside of the cover page into a mailable piece. Why do you use the 9 x 12 envelope and what advice do you have in general about using an envelope for newsletters, etc?

  • Good stuff Bill. One bit of advice…Be sure to run your envelop ideas past the Postal Service first. The USPS has some strict rules about what has to be on the front of an envelop and exactly where on the envelope. You certainly don’t want to have thousands of envelopes printed, only to find they run afoul of the Postal Service and simply will go into a dumper!

    Hi Bill:

Great episode…lots of good info! I’m a big fan of your new book and would like to know some particulars about your 4 page yellow notepad letter. I’m going to use this for my jewelry store and was wondering, did you simply fold the letters up and tab & mail them or did you use one of your “Outrageous” envelope ideas?

    Thanks,

    Bill Warren

  • Bill great stuff …am I missing something, where is the banner link for RENEGADE MILLIONAIRE MARKETING for $1 ?

    Thanks, Heidi

Great show, and great t-shirt! Are those for sale? If not, they should be. I’m thinking of ways to create content for lead generation for my cleaning service. I’ve been wanting to interview someone, but I don’t know how to conduct an interview and every book I find on interviewing focuses on job interviews. Is there a book you can recommend on how to interview for content creation??

Hey there Bill, great show! I’m just starting a new business and i’m getting ready to do my first mailing so the show was priceless. I’m always concerned about not getting my piece opened.

    Questions:
1 any suggestions about how to insure that you’re e-mail advertising gets opened and read?

2 I have an idea of a new way to market my product (that I don’t think has ever been done) through a “home party” type of program. Any suggestions about how to do a successful home party?

  • Bill,
What is the most cost effective form of marketing in your opinion?
    direct Mail,Web or Networking?

  • Stacey Riska says:

Great episode! You talked about everything I’m working on this week. It really reinforced I’m going in the right direction. Thanks and keep up the great work!

  • Coach Evie says:

Bill, Thank you, Thank you for doing this show. I am enjoying and I am putting into action your ideas. This is Coach Evie from Paradise, FL. We met at GKIC Manhattan.

  • Bill, Love your suggestion about surveying your customers and THEIR customers before writing copy. There’s so much you can learn from asking just a few targeted questions. Thanks for consistently delivering great content that all entrepreneurs need to hear – and think about.

  • Yes Yes! We use infusionsoft, and there is no better system out there… GREAT VIDEO Mr Bill… Best to ALL, Brian-

    Hi Bill,

After reading your “Outrageous Advertising” book I’ve come up with a direct mail idea I’ve never seen anyone do yet! It’s got a unique envelope & is also 3D and I get to wear a costume! Check out YOUR mailbox next month…

We are promoting high ticket items to specific postal addresses.

My question is; What kind of response should I expect from a direct mail shot, what frequency should I send out further mail pieces and how long should I run the same themed campaign?

Thanks Bill. Mark in Norfolk England

Great show! I like it, thank you so much!

  • Bill, I like the demonstration of various mailing envelopes.

  • Bill, your demonstration of several mailing envelops was helpful. thanks.

    Hey Bill,

That was amazing, this stuff is awesome!!!!!

Really reopened my eyes up to what I was missing in my writing.

Just a question though to do with writing copy – is there a way to get into state, because i find myself in state, then if my mum calls me I leave a moment, come back and out of state?

    Any help would be brilliant.

    Thanks again.
